Do domains registered in 1996 have any value?

    So I just won an auction for a domain called CypherCash.com over at TDNAM.
    The creation date for the domain is 1996 and it does not get reset when you grab it on TDNAM.

    I don't have any idea what to do with this domain, but if I choose to develop it, am I going to have any benefits over new domains?

    Will it dodge the sandbox?

    Is there a website associated with it as well or just the domain name ? Has the domain been an active website ?
