Do "Domain Hacks" have much value?

    Hi
    Domain Hacks NOT Referring to hackers of domains... but the term refers to domain combination of parts of level domains.
    For eg. the famous del.icio.us

    or maybe something like www.mon.ey or www.doll.ar

    What is your opinion of value of such domains?

    Domain hacks work best for non commercial sites, or at least sites who don't "look" commercial. Drop a visit to http://xona.com/domainhacks/ to get a better idea, the Doucette combo really is the best in this branch.

    People like http://del.icio.us/ got lucky when it was a new thing, now it's not so "neat" to have a domain like that.
