Do directories work for reciprocal links?

    Directories do not supply reciprocals - they supply one way links. For the most part they are very low quality one way links, but since something is better than nothing, they are not totally worthless and it may be worth your while depending on where you are

    Yeah - many of them reqire a reciprocal if you don't want to pay the dollar or 2. You can hide the fact that they are reciprocal buy puttting a codom on you linkback page with robots.txt and NoFollow, NoIndex
