Do dig requests get your site banned?

I was reading this, http://www.sitepoint.com/blogs/2006/04/05/digg-anti-social-software/ where it was mentioned that puting diig requets on a fortum can get your forum banned. How true is that. I have found some digg request at DP, but it surely is not banned from DIGG.

 

so what, do you really need people pointing at your forum from digg? However, it is possible for them, and there's nothing hard here to do, to ban your forum. But anyway, who needs diggers on a forum? They generally come and leave in less than 30 seconds...

 

No but that is a scary thought, getting banned from DIGG, your site may be hosting both a forum and a blog and you might not wish to get baned.

 

If the traffic is use less then it doesn't worry me if I get banned or not.

Come to think of it now, I have lost my digg password. Most probably because I have not used it in such a long time as it just didn't work for me at the time I was using it.

 

I just found out that over at sitepoint digg is now a banned word. You cant even post it in a url.

 

It's most probably because people are spamming the forums with their digg requests.

 

I bet users over there are trying var5iations of dig'g, dig#g and so to try to get dugg. Some ppl never give up.
