Do Commission Junction Affiliate Links Expire?

I signed up for a new vendor yesterday and in looking through their links I noticed some that said "link expires in 28 days" or something to that effect. This got me wondering because I didn't know a link could expire.

I found this article on the subject:

    http://blog.affiliatetip.com/archives/expiration-of-advertiser-keyword-links-in-commission-junction/

I'm fairly new to C.J. and I really don't understand what they're saying in this article. Could someone please explain to me what this means?

On one of the products I've been promoting for a while, I went in and looked at the keyword link they're currently showing and it is different than the one I'm using -- the one that I downloaded when I first signed up with that vendor. I got several sales and then they stopped. The link still works, but is it possible that it has somehow expired and I need to download a new link and maybe I'm not getting credit for commissions? If so, how would I know to do this? Very confused!!

    Thanks.

Thanks. Wow, I hate that. I like to use anchor text for my links. Guess I won't be able to do that anymore?

You can still use anchor text. The keyword links going away has nothing to do with that.

Link expired because that's promote link , ads only release it for some event for discount or something like that. After that time, that link will be expired. You should get new link

Yeah, more often than not its for a promo or sale the sponsor was running.

For all sponsors that don't let you keep running the link I set up a Google calendar and put in the expiration date, and set it to send me an e-mail a day before it expires...easy way to kind of set and forget until you have to change it.

    Hope this helps.
