Do Clock Timers on a sales page affect conversion rates?

    Hi

You know, the ones at the bottom that say that you have XX hours to buy or else this products price goes up.

Does anyone have any experience or good results in terms of conversion rates?

    Thanks! :D

I've used a timer for my cb page... "Order now time is running out for your $7 copy bla bla bla" with the clock counting down from 20 seconds... It's a sqeeze page for the product not the product page itself.

I have once used something similar. I said "There's only 20 spots left" in big red letters. It worked flawlessly :D

Well maybe it's just because I know better, or maybe it's because my IQ is above 78, but I think those are just the stupidest gimmicks on the web! :) I mean come on! Who's going to cap their profits at XX sales, or XX time? All the user has to do is refresh the page and see the timer has started over and you lose all credibility.

The method is against the CB marketing rules. If some one send this to CB, your account would be banned. So take serious consideration before you continue using it.
