You know im kind of curious myself, i have not compared the two testaments very much, but they do seem to be quite different, however who are we to question Gods actions. Anyone know why God took a complete 180 ? Im curious my self. I will probably look into it myself a bit later, but figured id ask.

You really got to stop reading that site, it will only confuse you more and more - that is the whole purpose of the hate site you get this information from - confusion.

Lets take your example about "an eye for an eye" first, that doesn't fit the comment I made, so why bring this up in defense? Secondly, Jesus has made the commandments harder to do than before, first it was "an eye for an eye" and now he is taking us up a notch by saying let someone slap you and don't get revenge. This requires agape.

Sure, did man make the change? nope

I keep saying? hmmm interesting. I did say what I said quoted prior, but why are you saying "you keep saying"?

There hasn't been one mistake or contradiction found yet, so what are you talking about there? hmmm I see you just want to confuse the readers.

Sure you keep saying alah commands, or whatever mohamud commands, but that is up to you and yours, not my doing, so don't ask me.

Sure read the O.T. wars and tell me how God is unjust. God makes the rules and He created the world, and so His ways are unjust? Interesting. Maybe tell God that and see what He says.

You assume that is the typical answer, but you misread my answer then. The O.T. tells about Jesus coming and the N.T. tells how He did come and is coming again. The old is the First covenant - old testament - then there is the New Covenant. Somethings are so simple that people want to make it complex.

There is no opposite from the OT and the NT. By the way Moses was a man that God made into a prophet, Jesus was not just a man. BIG difference between the two. Moses knew Jesus because Jesus was before Moses.

If you read through the whole Bible you will find that it flows from the Old to the New, that the Old tells about the New in many ways, so there is no 180. The Old is about Jesus coming and the New is about how He did come to the world and about how He is coming again.

You will find there is always a first and a last, a beginning and an end - God says He is the Alpha and Omega. This is one way you can tell if something is not from God, for many religions try to say they are an addition or correction to God's word, a third item beyond the beginning and the end.

Christians are a weird bunch, they are trying to believe in Bible and "The origin of species" at the same time, and do that without having read either one

This is what i was told by my bible study teach and it makes perfect sense. God dealt with us in a much different way in the old testament than in the new one. I feel that god was trying everything in his power in the old testament to keep us with him and he even stooped to our level at times because we couldnt understand anything else, but he kept nurturing us at the same time throughout the old testament and i believe this was to prepare us for jesus and the new testament. I mean u can look at when isiah talked about the emmanuelle(god with us always i believe it means) and how he said the prince of peace was coming.

Everything in the bible was sort of a spiritual workout for us, with each lesson, with each page he helped us to grow to prepare us for the ultimate moment, the coming of jesus christ.

All of the bible is true old and new.. You cant take things out of context and make a logical debate or decision..

Anyone who doesnt believe id say (start from the beginning and read to the end) both old and new then make a more educated decision..

Untill you have read every word in order it wouldnt be smart to make assumptions based on your own ideas or what you have heard or read some place else..
God gave us all free will to love him or not and to believe him or not..

Personally i do believe in him and his word.. If others dont thats their free choice..
But when he returns every knee will bow believers and non believers but also i believe the anti christ will come 1st and fool many..

Also everyone has the right to what they want i dont judge anyone its not my place.. but i do know the truth from reading all and from 1st hand experiances..

Im lucky ive witnessed true miricals before so to me there is no doubt.. but i can see how others who havent seen such things as i can be easily confused.. if your confused or dont believe keep reading read all in context then.. but dont skip one word.. and dont decide against it untill you have finished the whole book ot and nt ..

No. The Old Testament is largely fiction and God comes over as one of those aliens from the original Star Trek. You know, quite powerful (even if it did take him six days to make one lousy planet), but also just a little bit stupid and very inclined to blame other people for his mistakes.

You’re making an assumption that I’m reading from that site! I honestly don’t know what you are talking about. Do you have a link to that site? I’m curious to see it now!

When I asked about the validity of the old laws I was referring to the laws that were applicable to all and not just to a specific person. You know that there were certain laws that were made invalid, replaced or in some cases made harder if I use your own words.

If I understood you right you admit that god made changes (Some form of abrogation) to some old laws in the NT, If that is correct the part reference to that old law in the OT is no longer valid since only the new law is applicable.

That’s where reason and faith can’t go in parallel. Your statement is such non sense and can only be said from a blind faith prospective.

Well, in the Bible it says that Jesus was before Moses, but like any good muslim, you can't understand that Jesus existed before He came to the earth in human flesh. "through Him all things were made"
