Just wondered about this after contributing to a thread from someone who was worried about getting 400 clicks in 30 minutes (a massive rise for the poster) on their Google ads. Someone suggested that the surge in traffic and clicks could be to do with bots. Do bots click ads?
Most, if not all bots don't have Javascript enabled, and Google ads use Javascript to be displayed so I'd say no, they don't.
yes i think it is possible to create a script or bot which can do click bombing, if someone do click spam on your website you should remove your ads for sometime
Go back and look at your logs. If you data shows IPs more importatly multiple IP's someone may have used software and for lack of better wording click pinged your ads.
yes, its easy to create bots which can click the ads. but your ctr will gonna explode and soon the ads acc will be banned.
Search engine bots don't click on your ads. However, there are software available on internet who can auto click on your ads. If you are getting these types of clicks then i will recommend you to look at the ip of these hits and block them immediately otherwise you will get band from adsense.
