Hey, I was wondering, do blogs generally earn less from adsense? If you have same content on two sites, a blog and a normal site which would earn more? I am asking this because of these stats below: 1,594 5 $0.00 1,154 8 $0.00 As you can see they have both had clicks and impressions but no earnings, or is this because my site is new? If so how long does it generally take for blogs to start earning from adsense? My site has been up about 10 days - since 13 Dec 2008, and has 613 unique hits..... Any ideas? nut legend P.S. The blog is: http://www.electroniclovers.com P.P.S The content is all copyscape free apart from the specifications of the items e.g. the title.....
No. There doesn't seem to be a big difference between blogs and static websites. Check out my Gadgets Blog. See how the Adsense is wrapped by the text? That's a good way to increase your ad revenue because the ads are better targeted and they're blended in well. Search for a plugin called "Adsense Injection" to wrap your ads.
No problem. Too other "tricks" that I've used successfully. Change the link color to: 000080. That's the default active link and people are used to clicking it. And definitely lose the borders. Make a channel for these ads and track what happens. One of the single best ways you can increase CTR is by testing the spots on your website. That said, in all of my tests, people click ads that are either directly ABOVE the main content or IN it. Ads on the left side get SOME clicks as do ads UNDER the content. However, when I put ads to the RIGHT of the content, just about nobody clicks. This can vary from niche to niche, but the results have been pretty consistent.
No, I don't think they assign any preferences on whether a site or blog should earn more. I think your problem here is not about the traffic but on how to blend your ads and make them get noticed by the visitors.
Personally, I don't think blogs are effective. I find that traffic are there to read and are not interested in buying any products. Unless your blog is about the product which is advertised.
well i have no idea on this i think the rate is same but the thing that varies is the quality of the click
I will say if you have placed ads in best places and content is related to good niche than you can make more money than websites . Their are so many blogger making five figure income from adsense .
My blog gives review on the item and has links for the reader to buy from.... nut legend P.S. Thanks for all the help everyone!
