Do blogs ever make money?

Do many blogs make money now days?.. thats all I have to ask

 

Of course they do. When the traffic is high, revenue usually follows.

 

Depends how many you mean by "many". And how much money is "money"?

But the short answer is yes.

 

yes, blogs make money.

but personally I think there are much better ways to go about making money than using blogs. old standard content sites still work a hell of a lot better for me.

blogs have a lot of problems. relatively few users compared to traditional content sites. regular visitors. regular visitors means less revenue. when you stop updating, a lot of people stop coming. a lot of blog content is not "evergreen." it's not content that will be as relevant now as it is 5 years from now.

blogs serve a purpose, but they're not a replacement for traditional websites.

Yes, especially if hosted on a free service, as you make profit immediately. A blog is a CMS (Content Management System) so as long as you provide valuable information, and get traffic you will earn.

 

it's definitely the easiest way if you can't manage to run a traditional website. it's also convenient to update.

I'd argue that overall in the long haul your time would be better spent learning how to make "traditional" content sites, at least in most situations, though.

 

WP makes for a great CMS. You are only limited by your ability to create.

Blogs are making many, if your update content at least weekly, but I think the main purpose of blogs is promote another site or product.

 

i donot have any domain name and earning my living with blogs , reason is simple its easy to handle /deal with blogs . no hassle of scripts etc . so i am happy with blogs

 

Yep blogs do make money but given that they are in a specific niche. too many blogs jump around all the time ... If you can update regularly and provide good content they are quite nice

 

Honestly, you could not be more wrong. You are as far as possible from the truth as you could be. A blog is just a website, can be created with the same structure, and has dozens of benefits that a standard site does not. I could turn your site into a blog and nobody would know. The only difference is you would now have RSS feeds if wanted, hundreds of plug and play scripts, a huge increase in instant as well as SE traffic, and make more money.

Nah, I think my rss feed was not working, would that matter? They would have no reason to of banned me, being I aint had a blog before!
