First off, I have no idea what forum would be most appropriate for this, so I apologize if this is the wrong forum. I basically want to ask you guys with biggers sites/forums how much work you are putting into it. I realize it can take a lot of effort and dedication, initially, but a lot of the bigger forums I frequent (like DP, for instance) seem to be able to strive solely on sheer number of users and the content they voluntarily provide. It seems like when you get to a certain point, your site no longer needs any work at all. I just wonder if this is true, or it just seems that way. Of course, when I get to that point, I will still be working on the site, but it would be nice to have less work to do, and more to actually enjoy my site.
there is a point where you dont need to do much work. shawn (the owner of this site) probably does minimal work for the money he gets. He has all his mods do all the work for him, for free!
www.EntrepreneurForum.co.uk - i still have to do work, can't wait until i can slow down on the work i do, but i've just opend a new forum! www.DEVForum.co.uk - which i now how to start it all over again, while maintaining the other forum
The key here is a good start. Forum is one of the content management system and surfers are looking for good content. Updating unique content on daily basis can increase web traffic but my main concern is how to get more mods/friends help you do the work?
