Do big name advertisers pay?

I see some pretty big name advertisers on my site but I don't think a single click has ever gotten me anything over a dollar. Why? :(

They pay just like everyone else. But if all the bids are low, then then your payment will be accordingly low.

What is the URL of your site? This most likely means that the ads you are getting aren't completely relevant to your site.

They seem to me to be very relevant. But here's my site:

    http://thedailysearch.com

Thanks. BTW, if you're using dial-up it may take a few seconds for my site page to load... some dial-uppers say I have slightly too much content...

If you want to try something new, consider placing large rectangles in between your blog entries.

Well, Burta (a member of this forum), who has a similair epc as me, averages $100 a day with 8000 uniques a day... so I could just raise my traffic too...

also, what do you think of using this site?: http://70.87.49.210/~adsblack/faq.html#how_does_adsense_work

You could consider blocking bestringdownloads.com and ringringmobile.com; those were the least relevant ads that I saw

    Thanks a million!!!

EDIT: But do you think irrelevant ads necessarily pay less? I have no idea if these ads are being clicked on or what they are paying compared to relevant ads.

I don't think those ads necessarily pay less, but if you want to play around with things a bit, I'd give it a shot. It never hurts to experiment with filtering, layout, etc (until you get something that works really well: then leave it alone!)

Irrelevant ads pay just as much as relevant ones. The question is, is your users more likely to click on an irrelevant one than a relevant one. No. So that's why you get rid of them.

It depends upon the niche for an example i have a file search website http://www.filescabinet.com when some one searches the ads come similar to the search people make on the website and i dont now some times i get $2 for a click while for some clicks $0.3 - $0.50 hope you understood what i am explaining over here.
