I wonder if anyone can help me with this question. You may have experienced this yourselves, so anyways here goes.. I am wanting to buy an older domain and just recently learned that the current owner of the domain was banned from adsense a couple of years ago due to violating googles TOS. So I was wondering does this mean the domain will permanently be banned now?
No, it will not. AdSense will unban a domain if you can prove that you are the new owner, who is in no way associated with the previously banned site or its owner. That said, proving that might be difficult!
Violators (publishers) aren't usually unbanned unless they have compelling evidence that they shouldn't have been banned in the first place (e.g. Google made a mistake). That's highly unlikely. In reality once a publisher is banned they are banned and there's no legitimate way back into AdSense.
It's the domain which is banned and not the domain owner. Go register a new one instead of using a banned domain.. Though sometimes (rarely) they let them through if you appeal..
From what I have read, and it's been a while so the rules might have changed, the domain or account owner can be banned. A domain could be used again but only if it wasn't banned for the actual name like if it was an adult phrase or something.
there are two types of ban. one is the adsense account itself and other is the site ban due to not being compliant with adsense TOS. if the site itself is banned, then it is due to compliance issue no matter who is the owner. if you are the new owner, then you need to make the site adsense compliant and then contact adsense support to let them know that you are the new owner. you will need to show supporting evidence that you own the site now.
