i recently joined a link exchange website, and Ive noticed, most of the link pages i am exchanging with are not accessible from the main website. Am i wasting my time all together or what? Will the back links help me even though they are not on the main site?
Links from interior pages can be helpful on an authority site with some age and BL's behind it, but an orphaned link farm page...yeah, it's a waste of time. BTW-I find blog posts to be the most time-and-cost effective way to gain targeted, natural and indexed backlinks.
Main page is not important for backlinks. page with backlinks must be indexed in google. Without that your backlink has no value. In addition if you don't have possibility to reach page with your backlink from main page, you will have also null traffic from this back link. Simply this kind of link is useless
I mean distributing my own unique articles across a network of other people's blog. I can describe my method fully by PM.
If humans aren't able to navigate easily, how is the situation with the bots ? As for it helping you. It can, but there are tons of other factors involved. For example, the other sites it links to, the accessibility, the number of links etc.
Better to find a related website for you to exchange links. But it is still counted as a backlink to your site.
Thanks to everyone, luckily most of the exchanges did have home page access, i will just have to screen the sites when i accept an exchange
