Since I am new to CB and I just launched my first product, I am wondering, does anyone really make any decent money on CB with it's network of affils? I have a gaming product about selling video games online which is what I did for a living for about 10 years. I made my first sale and I have been working with the customer to start his video game site. He is almost up and running and has agreed to do a great video testimonial when his sales start flowing in. I am excited for him and excited about CB and already brainstorming on new untapped niches which I can not disclose here. I have 15 + years experience in direct marketing before my video game business and hope to make it big in IM as well. Can anyone offer any advice for me as a newbie in regards to IM'ing of info prods? PM me if you want to see the pitch page for my first product, because I am open to any critique that I can get since I am new to the IM field for the most part. Thanks!
To answer your question... Mike Geary from Truth About Abs (MIKEGEARY1) makes over $1m per year. Fat Loss 4 Idiots (4IDIOTS) apparently does over $20m per year. There are some members on here with products that must do 6-7 figures in sales every year. So yes, people make decent money
Yes it is possible to make money, but it takes more work than you would imagine - it is a full time job, rather than just listing a product on clickbank and instantly attracting 1000s of super affiliates With your background I think you stand a good chance, and your real experience in your niche should really make you dedicated to it, passionate, and believe in your idea, which I think will push you further. Just one thing though - you have had 1 customer and you have been personally helping him - this is obviously great customer service, but theres noway you can scale your business if this is what you do / what you need to do for everyone. Incorporate this experience into your product, make it deal with the issues he had problems with automatically.
I suggest that as a beginner - realize ClickBank for what it is meant for - affiliate sales - only. Large affiliates sales cost a ton of time and cash - and yes you could make some serious coin as a vendor - but better money as your own salesperson. Some people sign up to get their product listed becuase they think they have to use CB. Not the case - I treat CB like I treat the other affiliate sites - these are salespeople, and some better than others. True, you have to empower them with all the tools necessary to move product (banners,landers,copy,email...etc etc), or nothing much happens. Focus on your core site and let the affs build the backend. To put it simply - market your own domain and let the affs market their segment.
