Do any of you know about running forums? Yabb 2.1 (perl) in particular?

    Hiya,

I am a browser and occasional user of a popular yabb 2.1 forum.

Does anyone know if admin can tell when and how many times I am viewing the forum without me being logged in? Do they have to be logged in to see that or what? Are logs kept of frequency and times etc?

The answer depends on if I cut my visits down :( - I work for the owner and would hate him to know how interested I am in all the posts....ruin my cool cred

    Thanks

It seems like his site statistics might give him a clue particularly if you come in from a static IP. Even if you are not on static IP, chances are a pattern would show up.

    Thank you Smyrl.

So when he logs in, he can look at some sort of statistical data and see how many times I logged in or how many times I just looked without logging in, what I looked at, how long I've been browsing, that type of thing - from my ip address

No wonder he's a smug so and so when I tell him I have little interest and only go in weekly to post my report - how embarrassing :(

Still, this will cut down my slightly obsessional habit
