Do Affiliate Programs discount leads generated from the Affilate member's IP address?

I've had family members sign up for programs generating leads according to the campaign specs within my household as test for FOUR different affiliate companies NOT different campaigns BUT FOUR different Affiliate companies and NOT one reflects a lead. The clicks show but no leads appear which I KNOW is wrong and this is after 48 hours in some cases. What's up?? I'm hesitant to go all out and promote companies when the CPA programs or companies themselves aren't paying for leads OR " SHAVING LEADS ". Does the fact that the leads are generated from a computer that I signed up for the affiliate programs on have anything to do with it ?

 

Yes that's right your IP will be logged - otherwise you could sit there all day earning money.

 

1) Yes, your IP is logged.

2) Some companies do 'shave'. Do some research here for the best ones.

Thanks for the answers. The logged IP thing makes sense. In regards to shaving how honest is Commission Junction and which CPA companies provide REAL TIME lead stats ?
