Do advertisers care if their ads have a nofollow tag?

I've been doing alot of research on paid links and I think the best way to treat paid links is to use the nofollow tag. Do you think their will be a substantial drop in potential marketing revenue if I was to go through with this?

    Thanks in advance,

Yes, paid link advertisers will be pissed. Buying links, in most cases, is about buying PR, not buying hits; they usually don't care how many people click them. If you want to add nofollow, make sure they are okay with it first.

    For banners, nofollow is standard.

    Hi,

You can go for nofollow tags in paid links to increase the site's page rank.Choosing to use a nofollow purely depends on the quality of the Advertiser's and Advertisee’s site. If either of the sites are of a good quality and high page rank, then using a nofollow is a total waste. If any one of the sites are poor in quality or page rank, using a nofollow tag in this case makes some sense.
Hope my inputs will be of use to you.

I get quite a few enquiries about advertising on my sites, although it is rarely referred to as 'link buying'.

Most change their mind when they are told the link will be 'nofollow'. So yes, it will most definitely have an impact.

I wouldn't care. Many don't. What matters is the site's visitors clicking over to the site.
