I heard that having adsense ads on my website will instantly bring googlebot to the page and result in faster indexing. Is this true?
This is more a theory, there is a AdsenseBot that scans your site, not GoogleBot. You can view this in Awstats for example, it may or may not help.
i believe the theory is true. If you have a brand new website and have 0 backlinks.. then your probly will get indexed faster if you attempt to sign up for Google Adsense.
I was wondering the same thing, but by using AdWords instead. Seem logical to me Google needs to crawl/index pages which they advertise towards.
Google's Matt Cutts Confirms AdSense Bot Helping Googlebot With Indexing http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/blog/060419-094701 Apparently many people were wrong in this thread
I have always found that when I placed adsense on a page it got indexed faster. Also do not forget to submit your site to the google tools sitemap. That will help too.
i believe that either adwords / adsense does help your site. All my sites get indexed within 24 hours and i dont do much. Just adsense / adwords.
Yes I have also considered the problem. I guess the answer is "yes". For google ads should first read the content, and then display, so it helps for google to read the content more quickly. Another way is submit from the webmaster xml sitemap. I think these two ways are as the same.
