Do Adsense ads get more clicks if they are subtly integrated into your website?

If you have been doing Adsense for a while you will notice two distinct strategies by people that are trying to get clicks on their site. One strategy is to make the Ads stand out. You can use the Google default colors of bright blue, black, and green, or you can go with your own color scheme. While some want to bright ads, I have seen other site builders try and set the colors of the Ads as close to the colors of their website as possible. I think the strategy here is to get people to click without even realizing it is an Ad.

Which one works best? That is a tough question. If the site is a product site and a person gets there looking for a product, shoes for instance, a bright ad probably works well. But is the site is an information sight, like one with information on becoming a nurse for instance, then an integrated ad migh work best.

For example the post might say, "For information on where you can get training to be a nurse look below:"

And HERE you would see some Google single word Ads that were in the same color scheme as the content above the ad.

So, what do you think? What has worked for you?

I would say the third option works best for me. I always try to blend the advertisement so that the ads looks part of the website and make sure they are positionally boldly placed so that people will see the advertisement and consider to click it more. I am doing blogging and classified websites.

What you are doing is closer to my idea. I have some of both kinds of ads on sites where I blog. On product sites I go for more bold ads about one para down in a product description. My CTR is good if I can get traffic to the site. That's the tough part.

Just blend the ads with the background. Using white background will be the best.
