Do active Adwords campaigns affect natural ranking?

    Hi

I paid a company to do some link building on my domain and they guaranteed to get it to the top of Google and Yahoo in 8 weeks.

Well, they did manage to get it to the top of Yahoo for several keyphrases but did not get it anywhere the top on Google. In fact its highest ranking is page 47.

The link builder said that because I use Google Adwords now and then it affects the chance of getting my site to the top.

    IS THIS TRUE?

Generally anyone who guarantees anything is scamming. Then they give you these off the wall excuses as to why you are not seeing results.

To tell you the truth, In SEO world, if someone promise you to be 1st place in Google - you shouldn't work with this company.

It's almost impossible to promist that.

As for the 2nd thing - There is no relation between adwords (sponsered links)to SEO (Organic results) - your website's rank will not be effected due to traffuc from adwords campaigns.
