DNS Trademarks or Copyrights

    Hello,

    Does anyone know if the term DNS (Domain Name System) is copyrighted or has a trademark? I wanted to make a website that provides help on setting up DNS and call it yourdnsmadeeasy.com. My concern is that it has the word "dns" in it. Would it be an infringement?

    i don't think ... is a general word on internet , like car in real life, everybody talk about dns

    DNS wont be as such would be a problem. it could be with the words used with dns. check with uspto.gov to be on the safer side.
