DNS time responce

    Hi,

    I have observed some times my DNS server responce has big delay time
    and I can't find any obviously reason for that.

    I see my sites which have low traffic to correspond at once and the site with middle traffic not correspond at all very rerely but it's happen.

    The CPU load is down from 40% so the CPU load it's not problem.

    I think it can be memory (1GB)

    I don't know what ellse to check.

    what server OS and named (anything else) are you running? From my own experience, DNS may lag if your load goes up.... if you are not sure where is the problem - do a test and move your primary DNS to a free (and reliable) DNS service provider to diagnose the problem.... zoneedit.com comes to my mind but there are quite a few good ones around.
