DNS taking forever?

Ok I doubt theres much I can do about this but I recently got kicked off my a2hosting server and am trying hostgator now. My site is http://qmclan.com, and is, as you can probably imagine, a site for my clan. Anyway I've waited nearly 48 hours after changing the nameservers on godaddy and still nothing. However, a site I host for a friend, on the same new server, already works. So is all I can do wait or is there anything more? I only ask because usually it takes like 5 hours for me to refresh. I have noticed that it is usually quicker on my phone's internet service, which is Verizon, than my FiOS connection, also Verizon... Also a couple of sites that I moved to a parked page have already switched as well.

Your dns already active. Only you have to wait for propagation. It is good idea to use domain control panel dns system and change the ip only.

Sometimes it is usefull to flush dns of your own computer. You see the results much faster.
