I have recently bought a new server. But unfortunately my server came with no setup of apache, php, bind, mysql and with no control panel. However i try to get installation of all the above. And now i need setup of domain to point to this server. I have already dumped my database and copied all the files in /var/www/html file.

I tried to follow this guide.
    http://www.howtoforge.com/creating-your-own-webserver-with-bind-and-apache-centos5

But it has not worked for me.

I need a working server that is pointed to my domain.

Can anyone do that?? I know its a small thing, But need some help.

Use free DNS service from your domain registrar. Just create a few zone records to point your domain to your server's IP address, and you're done. And install Webmin - this will make your life a bit easier. :)

If you have installed kloxoCP on your server the follow these steps:

    1) Login to kloxo as admin
    2) Add a new domain there that you want to link with it
    3) Make that domain the default domain
    4) Go to DNS Templates and add new template with your desired primary and secondary name server and IPs you want to resolve them to.
    5) Register the name servers at your domain registrar!

    Congratulations!
If you have not done it already :D

If you were unable to follow that HowtoForge Guide then it is unlikely that you will be able to follow any instructions given on this forum.

Sounds like you want somebody to do it for you because you can't do it, therefore you shouldn't really be describing it as a "small thing" because you don't know how to do it and thus don't really know that it is just a small thing. Sorry if you find that offensive, but I can't stand it when people tell me something is easy, but then cannot do it themselves.

If you want it done for free, then you'll get what you pay for e.g. not much. Plus you run the risk of a major security breach because in order to complete that task you will need to give them root access to your dedicated server. Not something I would be willing to give out to someone so they can perform a freebie task.

If you want to hire someone to do this properly then go to the Buy Sell Trade forum and I'm sure you will be able to get someone to take care of it for you for a few dollars, plus you will have a little more protection because a payment would have been involved. Alternatively contact your hosting providor. Most of them will perform basic package install relatively cheaply but that obviously depends on your hosting company. Or last but not least, hire someone through somewhere like oDesk or ScriptLance where an agreement will be in place to protect should anything nasty occur as a result of your giving out the root login details.
