ok, this is the second time I'm putting this up..no 1 seems to be able to help me here..

I have a domain name with namecheap ojoserver.com. I setup Nameservers for that domain name, pointing them to my servers ip:

    ns1.ojoserver.com 96.56.178.124
    ns2.ojoserver.com 96.56.178.123

When I ping these two nameservers, I do get a reply from my server with those ips.. But problem is, when I use the nameservers for my domain names to host on my server, the damn thing would not point..It's been 3 weeks now..some1 pls advice..

The name servers for your domain are set to dns1.registrar-servers.com, dns2.registrar-servers.com and dns3.registrar-servers.com and they give a reply for ojoserver.com as well. If you already have domain hosting, why do you need to setup your own servers?

If you must, then configure 2 servers to act as NS servers for your domain. Remember to secure them against recursive queries and other threats. Then set your domain's NSs to ns1 and ns2, as you mention above. This should be doable from the Nameservers control panel.

Yes ojoserver.com needs to be pointed to the Namecheap dns which is what u currently see.

I don't need to configure my own servers to act as NS servers...I can, but thats y I'm using name cheap to server as the NS servers..
