DNS Kept During Registrar Change?

I'm in the midst of transferring a domain from GoDaddy to NameCheap. It's been 3 days since I initiated the change, and NameCheap is showing "in progress, no issues" so I guess everything is OK.

As a part of the transfer, will NameCheap (or any other registrar) keep the name servers that I had at the previous registrar? I hope so, or otherwise my website will no longer be accessible and email will quit working.

    Thank you.

Usually yes, they keep them the same. I really thought there was a box that you checked, but I have never transferred one TO Namecheap.

yes dns should remain unless you specified, but namecheap is pretty good. dns usually stays the same even if you were using old registrars default servers, so in short yes, they remain..

i am a domain name reseller and hosting provider and have names at godaddy and namecheap.

An email from NameCheap, stating that the transfer was complete, just arrived. The name servers are correct so there was no disruption of web traffic. :)
