DNS Hosting vs. My Nameserver

Question about my dedicated server...Does anyone know if there is any benefit (SEO or otherwise) to having at least one of my nameservers be hosted on my server, rather than using all third party nameservers. I've been looking at dnsmadeeasy.com, but I dunno...Just hate giving all the DNS to one company...I appreciate any input...

I think that doesn't matter! but the thing that you need to be sure is to have all your DNS zones hosted on your dedicated server elsewhere.... If any kind of crash, a DNS will respond to requests..................

A fact is, that if your NS is the same as your Web Server..... if it crashes.... everything will be down.... If the DNS is on another provider and already up, and the web server down the final result is anyway: site is down!

It's a matter of architecture.... a large topic! it depends on your site scale!!

    hope that helps
    regards

There is the obvious benefit of redundancy.

But as zonzon said it doesn't matter if you have only 1 server that acts as web server and dns server.
