DNS chance or not - what's it's use?

    Hey guys,

I'm recently bought an existing domain (without links and not that much traffic, but already PR3) and I now need to buy an SSL certificate for this site - which we're still working on.

I can buy this certificate via my host, and it now has the dns settings of my host. However, I was reading something that this can be of slight influence of my site 'trust' for the search engines.

To be honest, I have no idea, what would be the real use of it but should I change the dns name into my own sites name or leave it as it is?

So hence my question; would this change improve the site's 'trust', or should I just get the certificate and leave it as it is?

I look forward hearing from you.

    Cheers

    ~Vincent

BTW, It wouldn't be a problem if the site is online for a day or two.

Search engines don't care where your site is hosted, what your site is hosted on, where you point your DNS, if you have SSL, if you have everything on the same IP, etc... They just do not care.
