Why ban folks for giving their opinions

DMOZ/RZ should have us over there discussing this stuff on their forum.

Why should we sit here on this forum and discuss all these issues

I am sure they are pissed off that DP allows it here, maybe we should just drop it and move on to another subject. It is getting old and we are all just tired of it anyway

 

OK well I am not banned ( I was and got unbanned ). My last post was telling them how poorly the communication is and asking how any good editor can tolerate it.
So when you guys have fun in here talking about me being too nice, so be it.
I am sticking my neck out and don't mind doing so.
There are more DMOZ threads here than on any forums and my choice is to spread things out. So when you guys have it going here, maybe some ppl from other forums will read as well.

I totally agree with you, WPW has no editorial integrity any more, DMOZ team was constantly attacking me and were calling names and as soon as I answered anything, they would lock and delete.

Today was really funny when the Admin send the PM about me being village fool and people are tired about me voicing my opinion, I send him a PM back that he could check my mail box and if people are tired, why I am getting thank you messages, for standing up to DMOZ team. after that he banned me.

It seems cbp is sending PM to all the users there that if they post anything critical about DMOZ, he will make sure that they never get listed, that is the reason many people don't dare to post and just keep quite.
I told them about this and the pm from users is in my mail box but it seems they do not like to see it.

 

I am seriously surprised to see how far this is going. But once again: AOL owns DMOZ. Not Rich Skrenta, one of the founders who himself has been proven corrupt. Unless the attention gets drawn to a higher level, the battle will be in Directory sections of internet marketing forums without even reaching the public eye.

I am sad to hear about WPW going bad.

I used to post over there regularly.

I guess I'll go over there this weekend and get my account banned.

 

These are all good avenues to take.

 

When forum administrators appoint moderators who are bias toward any company or product who delete and censor members comments critical of the thread topic it ALWAYS damages that forum because the forum circuit is a small world and word gets around quick.

I have had moderators follow me to other forums after they banned me on theirs to try to "protect" themselves and the "honor" of their forum and try to keep me from telling the community what a bunch of arses they are

Some of these guys and gals think they are going to "control" what webmasters say and they feel that they are the "public relations" arm of their favorite organizations.


gworld we are happy to have you here at Digital Point and you will find that you can make any comments you wish and they will not be deleted as they were at WPW.

CBP is a very odd individual and really is not intelligent enough to moderate a forum and that is why WPW has been ruined.

He is a member here also (Birdie) so if you want to review his comments here you can, it seems he likes to treat some of our members here the same way he does on WPW, funny this guy never shows any of his own sites in his profile so he has a lot to hide in addition to trying to hide the thoughts and opinions of others in the community.

This has been going on for a good 2-3 years at least, tutor. DMOZ is probably the most hated organization on the planet with the possible exception of terrorists and telemarketers.

 

The terrorists have acually slipped in the rankings.... They would be #1 on the hate list, but it seems they can't get their site listed in DMOZ.
