Mostly it is. (a waste, I mean) Nevertheless you can go and submit your site. Hopefully their recycle bin is full today and the system will have to send your suggestion to a place where an editor can actually see it. If you are that lucky, you will have a very small chance of getting listed. As long as the category isn't abandoned and you happen to come across with a honest editor. There are a couple of threads around here from people who got listed!
That depends... do you feel it's a waste of time to submit to any free directory? If the answer to that is YES, then of course it's a waste of time... DMOZ is just that, 'yet another free directoryâ„¢' and nothing more. If you do feel that it's worth it to submit to free directories, then by all means submit your site. It really takes no longer to submit to the ODP then any other directory.
