    LMAO...where are the hundreds of backlinks? I have a site on dmoz and I don't see them.

    The only important thing about DMOZ is it's the only way to get into the Google directory, which is the thing that actually provides a big boost for your website in Google search. Otherwise DMOZ is worthless.

    5 years ago yes but not now. Google ignores links from clones and clones by itselves.

    Google stop using dmoz in SERP long time ago
    3 years ago you would see in search results dmoz/Google directory info but it's gone and Google now ignores dmoz link in it own directory.

    The only backlink you will get is from dmoz itself.
