Dmoz/Yahoo = Drop in SERPS

So we finally got approved for dmoz and we joined the yahoo directory. Now, most of our keywords just dropped 5 or so spots in the serps. Will it bounce back? I thought these were good directories to get into. Sigh....

Don't worry, your rankings will improve. Google often does that. Maybe your website is new?
In any case, DMOZ and Yahoo Directory links are among the best links you can get.

I think its always good to submit in dmoz and yahoo directory but its little tough to get listed as they take some time, And your position will be improved as it happens somtimes in google. Just be focused on whatever you are doing.

DMOZ/Yahoo had NOTHING to do with your drop in SERPS.

Yeah thats what I'm thinking too. I can't come up with any good reason for your rankings to drop after submitting your site too two of the Internet's best directories. If I was you I would give your site a look over. Most likely something is up and it is not related to either DMOZ or Yahoo.

In fact Dmoz & Yahoo should help you in the SERPS, rather than making your position drop. Build stronger links, i.e. build backlinks for your backlinks, this technique can make you less vulnerable to SERP position fluctuation.
