More likely than not, your submission will never be looked at. By "never" I actually mean "never" not merely "a long time."

Oops, I think you're right helleborine, my website will NEVER be accepted for that category... (Arts/Music/Music_Videos/Streaming)

I see DMOZ accepts only quality websites like these:

    http://www.deccaclassics.com/features/videos/videos.html
    http://www.vidzone.tv/
    http://www.singingfool.com/
    http://www.ifilm.com/musicvideos
    http://www.indiesent.com/vodg2.html

(quality content, no 404 pages, no redirect)

I hope you used the [url] tag on those, as a link from this thread will do a LOT more for those sites then a link from the ODP will...

    I'm afraid to look...

but it's not a matter of will they are wont they in most cases, it's a matter of when they get around to it...which in many cases the wait time is still pending years later.

If your site is worthy, submit & forget. that is all you can do at the ODP, but not all you can do. Promote your site by other methods...methods that will actually help your rank & traffic.

Editors would rather watch Digital Point for finding dead links then the Dashboard... we are quicker then their quality resources ;)

Thank you for making the ODP a better place.

I am sure that your personal insults will make the Editors so much keener to review your site:)

For "editors" to be corrupt, the links would have to be worth something. If they are taking money, they are exploiting the web's most gullible webmasters, and I'd file that under "a sucker born every minute."

DMOZ won't get to his submission for a projected 15 years, because DMOZ is empty of manpower. Doing tedious work loses its appeal every year that it becomes increasingly apparent that no one cares about DMOZ anymore, especially Google. It's enough time for "editors" to forget about some random insult.

It is a long and sad story... wonder how much of Webmasters time they wasted.

The ODP is not there for the webmaster, unless said webmaster is an editor, in which case, it's not a waste of time at all. As for wasting your time, well, if you submit to any directory then its no more of a time waster then the ODP. If you do not submit to directories, then yes, a waste of time. But then, it's free, so you are getting what you pay for ;)
