    I had seen it somewhere but can't find it..

    Once you do finally get listed in dmoz how long does it take to actually show up in search results?

    I would think rather quickly. Best bet is not to worry about it.

    searchable in dmoz search results on dmoz.org

    like querying the url itself in the search box..

    the site's listed in the directory

    but not searchable

    I think the internal search index is updated every 1-2 weeks. You can see the last time it was updated with the timestamp at the very bottom of the search results (currently Tue Nov 29 08:01:08 EST 2005).

    Two weeks seems to be average, but I've seen it take nearly a month between updates.
