Business is so good for the editors where they have set up a system like this.

It may not have met the criteria for a listing.

You are welcome to believe the above re paying a bribe or believe an editor about not doing it, but you are more likely to get banned than listed if you did.

Please, do not attempt to pay the editors. You will either be banned or scammed out of your money by someone posing as an editor. It happens. ;)

Sorry Ivan, we've improved our defenses so that may not work unless you can bribe the defender with a more comfy chair in the hope that he falls asleep so the raccoon can sneak in.

I noticed 2 hits from dmoz in my site that is not even listed there, though i did submit it about 3 months ago. Presume it was editors having a look or something.

I've been trying for about a year also. It's frustrating that I see all these spammy junk sites on DMOZ, but not my legitimate web design business.

I even applied to both the Web Design and regional category, and neither have my site posted.

I tend to just submit my sites to DMOZ, and then forget about it. I don't expect to ever get a site listed in there, but it'd be silly to not bother. I thought about applying to be an editor, but they wanted more information about me than my employer :)

By "trying" to you mean you have submitted more than once to each category? .... not a good idea if you want to be listed.
