Absolutely. With the main emphasis on the second part: decision-making by consensus is not a viable model for an organization like DMOZ.

I will play your game if it makes you happy. Let's see what my personal agenda possibly can be?

    1)
Deobfuscator: You are connected to porn industry

Gworld: If it makes you happy think so, I have no problem with it. I even suggested to sidjf to contact big porn producers in order to raise the quality and stop the corruption in DMOZ. If your best defense of DMOZ is this, then you can also tell others that are stupid enough to be fooled by this that I also participated in orgies and my favorite type of sex is with multiple women.

    2)
Deobfuscator: You are upset because we didn't list you

Gworld: so are many other webmasters, part of the problem is the fact that inclusion and exclusion of web sites is not based on any logic and in most of time is arbitrary.

    3)
Deobfuscator: You are upset because we didn't make you an editor

Gworld: repeat the answer to number 2

Now that we have cleared your strong points that you thought you can blackmail me with and keep me quite, as brizzie mentioned:

It will be also interesting to know how my personal agenda what ever those are; can cause the real problems in DMOZ that we are discussing here, unless you claim that there is no problem.

Now that we have cleared this matter, would you like to answer the 2 questions that I have posted here, or do you want instead to claim that I am gay and terrorist because of my views in political section in general forum?

Gworld, it is pointless to engage in a legal debate with someone such as you - because you have NO UNDERSTANDING of the law, the issues, or anything else. But because you seem to think you have a point..

No. As I posted before, there are some sites that are questionable which shold be re-reviewed. There are some sites that are academic research papers, newspaper interviews or even an article at Salon.com.

This shows your utter lack of understanding of the law. Do not pretend to be a lawyer. You are not one.

Since you clearly have no clue as to the structure of the ODP, despite the fact that you are a self proclaimed "expert" in it - the ultimate authority at the ODP lies with staff who will take advice from AOL legal on matters such as this.

This has been explained in previous posts. But you don't seem to read those, do you?

Heheh. I'd extend the same sentiment to the "triumverate" though. Perhaps we can all try to keep quiet for 20 posts or so and let somebody else chip in?

But I fear that many editors want nothing to do with this thread, nor do they want their name in the record, so I think we are stuck with each other.....

I have no idea whether he is or is not.

Can you explain one more time, slowly this time so we common folk can understand it, how that is relevant to ANY of the points he and others have made in this thread about the festering boil that is DMOZ Adult?

I am saying that for all purposes in this thread, you can assume and everyone who likes to except this kind of explanation can accept that I am connected to 1,000,000 adult web sites. How does my connection to adult websites will cause, justify or explain the problems in DMOZ?

It is funny that in your previous post that you mention that I don't know anything about law and I am not a lawyer but your great legal mind fails to quote any case law that shows these sites are legal and refuse to discuss it.

edit- it was not you who mentioned about legal issue, it was the other great DMOZ excuse provider.

A very good point. Volunteer organization doesn't mean lack of structure, procedure and management as DMOZ is at present time. Being a volunteer organization does not excuse anarchy and lack of procedures, if anything a volunteer organization needs more management since the organization performance is not measurable by financial performance.

Well, I can type more slowly, if you feel it will help your comprehension, but I doubt it will change your anti-DMOZ obsession, nor will it change the fact you choose to ignore reality when it doesn't fit your argument.

Let's see, we have someone who owns and operates low quality adult websites pushing for the removal of all Adult websites (minuscule, this means the sites he wants removed are his competition). Why should his actual agenda have any bearing on his credibility?

He intentionally and continually provides incorrect information to prove false points, so of course he should be taken on face value with everything he says when it is anti-DMOZ. Seems so long as a person has an anti-DMOZ bias, credibility is not important. Yet most of you incorrectly speculate that if someone doesn't share your bias, they have some sort of vested interest. The sheer amount of double standards in this forum makes me nausea.

He's been asked many times if he was involved with adult websites and refuses to answer. I would like a straight answer, that's all. Is it really too much to ask for?

So you still refuse to answer.... That says a lot. I mean if you have no connection to adult sites, just say "no", what's the problem?

I have no connection to adult websites, I have no connection to any sites discussed in this thread. I have no problem saying it. Why is it something you continually skirt?

    Krusty,
You keep asking the same question over and over, a question that has nothing to do with the current discussion in this thread. Did they not teach you how to properly debate when you were studying for your GED?

I would like a straight answer to my question, Krusty. Let's assume that gworld DOES own porn sites (I have no idea whether or not it's true but let's assume it to be true for a moment).

Why does that change the criticisms that he AND OTHERS IN THIS THREAD including brizzie, pagode, and vulcano have raised about DMOZ Adult?

Why do you and Obfuscator continue to mount personal attacks on those who raise the issues instead of addressing the issues?

This is a typical Resourceless Zone tactic: Don't answer any questions or address any criticisms. Try to distract and smokescreen by attacking the person asking the questions or raising the issues.

Sorry.. I just have to post this. I know I said I was going to keep quiet, but it's interesting watching Gworld dig himself deeper and deeper in it.

Gworld's adult domains include adultsfreehost.com and adultsad.com. Check the WHOIS against gentlemenscafe.com and
tuneauto.com. These are all hosted on 216.131.94.30 along with some people that I assume are his "clients".
