Hi Everyone, Can someone tell how many days Dmoz take to add a blog to their directory? I have submitted 10 days ago and it's still not appearing in the search. Thanks,
If the blog is listable, and many aren't, some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.
Of course you did! The final screen of the transaction said: Were you expecting something additional? If read the sticky 101 thread at the top of this forum, you might gain a greater understanding of what the directory is about and how it works.
Why? Surely you don't expecting Troll will read your answer to get some idea. How else you're expecting him to make his post count? fastreplies
When you said listed, he probably thought you meant listed (ie published in our directory). I expect you actually meant suggested . Is there some reason why you haven't suggested it to our Charlotte category - where your customers are?
I am not sure where I suggested it about a year ago. It is for my actual Locksmith business. I was always told not to do it more than one time as it would not get in the directory. I would love to get on as I have been in Charlotte for over 16 years in business. If you could make a suggestion, I would certainly try it. Regards. Teddy
Once you submit your link to dmoz...Just forget about it. If your are lucky then you will able to see your link on your backlinks details page...
Dmoz guidelines are very strict. Even I have submitted my link around a month I guess and still its not been approved...I urge to Dmoz editors to approve my link. Please consider this reply if any of Dmoz editor is here on this forum...
Is that how many times it was suggested? Well if That is the case then I guess I won't get on DMOZ. I had hired a guy to do some SEO for me a while ago and I guess thats what happens. He did that to my Google places also. Is that the case it was not listed or was it wrong? Thanks for the info. I really had no idea. Come to think of it I think it was longer than a year.
I'm surprised it is not blacklisted after 4 times. (Glad it is not) How would I submit it to Charlotte? If I recall correctly all I did last time was go to DMOZ and submit it through there. I cannot remember if it asked for a city. Should I suggest it all over again from scratch? Don't wan't to make it 5 times...hehe Thanks a lot for your efforts and time. I really appreciate it. Teddy
