If you got the 'thank you for your submission' screen after submitting, you have done all you can do. Doing anything else, like submitting again will work against you. There is NEVER a need to resubmit.

If you asking about the sites in your signature ---- don't hold your breath as there are a few zillion other sites like them.

No one can register at DMOZ!

If you mean submit your site, then its not rocket science - just go to the relevant category and click on suggest URL. Why do you need help with that for?

i have 1 website successfully listed in dmoz.org

i dont know why my website approved in dmoz. but i think there are several keys :

    1. your website/blog have big traffic. Or it means your web/blog should unique/niche. I think common web/blog will not be approved.

    2. better have rich content. Not website like MFA or other web ads.

    3. Your domain and website hosted not in free service.

    4. Your web/blog should have age more than 1 year.

    5. post your web in correct category.

Not a factor. How would an editor have any idea about a websites traffic?
    Yes, you got ONE right
    Not a factor
    Not a factor
Nope as well! If its in the wrong category and editor will just move it

In my opinion should be counted as a factor. Free hosting come and go and it just leaves the directory with countless dead links as well as an added load of work for the "volunteers".
I think it is a factor in a few cases or most.
Darn. There are are numerous discussions about this. There are volunteers who don't look at the "queue" and there are who do.

Happily your opinion counts for didley squat as you claim not to be an editor. One of the risks we take is that we list sites we think are useful to an end user and free hosting or paid hosting, I am glad to say, counts for nothing we list either.

We do look for a 'used' site if it is a blog or a forum and a blog with one entry is not likely to get listed nor a forum with few posts. Because we would not see them as being any real use in the great picture to end users, there are plenty of well used blogs and forums to list. But the age of a site rich with unique content is of no consequence.

We have consistently said that submitting to the correct category is likely to speed up a review for a possible listing, because if the site is sent to the wrong category the editor will move it to the correct one, but the editor may not be able to list it, does not even review the site or does not want to be distracted from the task in hand to list it. So the site will be sent to the suggestions pool for the new category and wait again until an editor chooses to work there. So it would have usually been quicker to suggest it there in the first place.

Useful sites are great to list and theres no doubt about that, after all it is beneficial for the end users. What I mean is judgement on sites, being an editor, sometimes will have to stretch a judgement. Useful content on free sites are great to list but should take into consideration their longetivity. In the long run would also be beneficial for the whole directory itself maintenance wise. Just an opinion. :)

Trouble is that it is often difficult to decide which are going to last and which not, so we tend to list as and when we need the sites for the category. We do have an eye on some sites that may not last like social networking sites, but most others if we need the site and it carries enough unique content then it will be listed. The Geocities sites were a mine of information and sadly the work I have done looking at replacements has yielded only about 10%.

Lets put it this way, if your website is worthy and valuable and you follow their instructions, your chances are good.
