Dear friends, I have just been accepted by Dmoz, or so does some external Dmoz checker sites say: This is teh site: http://cutewriting.blogspot.com

However, when I go to Dmoz and check in their search I don't find that any project with my site URL is there. Can anybody help me find for sure if I am listed in dmoz or not.

    All help apreciated.

What category was it submitted too?

If it is really listed, then it can take several days for the [DMOZ] search engine to get updated.

However, I'm not finding it through Googles search [site:DMOZ.org "cute writing"] so I'm guessing that it's not listed in the directory at all.

As a side note, there is a board here on DP specifically for the ODP...

Maybe it was accepted but not added yet? I've heard it can take up to a day to appear.

Well, as DMOZ does not tell you when your site is added, there is no real way to know that it was accepted to ask here on DP.

On a side note, when I was an editor, sites were added as soon as I approved them (with the exception of it taking a while to make it into the search).

In fact, the site , when you search through google or dmoz, won't be listed. But certain SEO checking services are there, which give you pagerank, alexa rank and all together. most of them telll that my site is in dmoz. also, they say my competition is not in dmoz. Is there any way u can really find out if its listed and if listed, see the listing.

Your site is not listed. Whatever checker you are using is giving you false information - maybe because you are using a blogspot domain. Checking is simple. Go to dmoz and enter in your url in search or check the category you submitted to. Your listing will show in the category as soon as it is approved - there is no delay. Those pr checking tools have no special way to check for listings.

That would be it... blogspot is listed, most blogs on blogspot are not.

for another example, Digital Point is listed, this thread is not...
