No they do not, nor will they say if your site was accepted or rejected. If you've submitted, then your job is done...promote your site by other means now.

I have been surfing internet for four years, and I appreciate the use of things like DMOZ to organize the web, and I have used it often in my research,
but my question is that in DMOZ which areas that could be made better???

    http://www.dmoz.org/guidelines/include.html#notinclude

The Directory is a live entity, it's constantly growing, changing, and expanding into new areas, so all areas could use improvement. For an editor, it's best to choose a small category or sub category that you find interesting or useful to edit in. That could be your profession, your hobby, a certain geographical area of the world (like a city), or any topic you're not an expert in, but just find interesting.

Once you become an editor, then try to make that the best category on that subject that you can for other people with similar interests, by following the editing Guidelines all editors work within, and sticking to the parameters that the current category description follows. To find that, go to the category page and click on "Description" up in the right hand corner.

That will tell you the type of sites that get listed in that particular category.
