There is no single editor responsible for the categories you name. In fact, no single editor is responsible for any category in the ODP.

You may find some categories with editors named at the bottom - those are just categories they have expressed an interest in editing. But also any editor named in a category "above" can edit in that category, plus a fairly long list of so-called editalls, metas and admins (senior editors who can edit anywhere in the directory).

What sort of information did you need from that contact? Maybe I can help you get answers you need.

if that category has no editor show @ the bottom of the page contact the editor from the person up 1

    for e.g. sports/golf/training <- NO Editor?
    contact sports/golf <- this editor

Please note, though, that due to some utterly horrible experiences with submitters, most editors will not enter into one-on-one communications.

You might get more help on a forum like this or Resource Zone.

    One of the following:
    1. an hour
    2. a day
    3. a month
    4. several months
    5. a year
    6. several years
    7. never
depending on the category and the editor and Factor X.

Minstrel's answer is correct - there is no predictable time-to-review of any submission/suggestion to the ODP. It's not a statistic that is kept, either, so there is no information apart from anecdotal.

On fora like this you will tend to hear the people who are upset, of course. The ones who had their sites reviewed within a day or two of submission won't be posting, usually.

Some might, It's surprising how many sites that I review within a few days of submission that are under construction and get deleted from the queue ASAP. I guess they are owned by those that believe that it take at least six months to get a site reviewed and hope to finish the site design by then. So they could complain their sites got reviewed too fast.

There are also those I find that were submitted two years ago and are still under construction.

It's really simple, submit a site to DMOZ and go away, maybe it will get listed - maybe it will not. Don't waste time with these endless rants - it won't change anything. You could spend your time better doing other things for marketing your site.
