DMOZ payments

Apologies if this is already a thread, but as anyone else heard about having to pay DMOZ editors to get listed?

I hear it all the time. It must be the only people that get listed.

 

Never, ever pay for a listing. If an editor asks for payment report them for abuse. If you offer payment to an editor you and your sites will be permanently banned.

You can buy a DMOZ link for $50-$100. They officially don't sell you a link, they will do a "SEO work" which includes getting a listing in DMOZ and nothing else. This is permitted under DMOZ guideline.

Buy a DMOZ link from DMOZ senior editors.

 

I think you will get banned from them if you offer money.

 

Yeah simply an all around bad idea. All the same let us know how it turns out. Personally, I wouldn't consider DMOZ worth paying for. Lot of options out there for you to explore.

Get involved in some SEO blogs and learn what really works.

 

No need to waste time with DMOZ, there are far more quality web directories which you can submit to.
