PR0 for this corrupted structure! Some DMOZ editors charge around $ 1000 for submission... And i wasn't surprised when someone was trying to sell editor privelege on e-bay for $ 30 000 ( it could be wrong price, i don't really rmember, but it was huge)... Thanks god e-bay removed this listing 2 days later.
Than netscape will announce their directory to DP like "Submit your site to PR 3, Directory. 590,000 categories to choose"
You and I share the same soul http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1501439&postcount=10 I didn't even see your post before i post that! ROFL
ROFL. Anyone stupid enough to pay that sort of money deserves the rude awakening they will get when they realise what they have actually bought. I still have some timeshare swampland in Florida for sale if anyone is interested. Of course you assume that it is in fact an editor offering such listings and account, not a scam merchant ripping off the gullible.
In the later case, that would probably be a "senior" editor account and much more valuable than simple editor account.
I don't think that it did drop. Read post #6 here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=150328
It should drop even further. I used to be an editor. That system is a mess and there is so many dead and outdated links everywhere.
compostannie: I tried to fix what I could. I wanted to fix more but it was so slow to be approved to additional sections.
jedweb, I was kidding Are you still an editor? Did you timeout? If you want to come back and give it another try I'd be happy to mentor you. I agree that learning on your own can take forever, it's much more fun with a friend.
compostannie: I know you were kidding But I did want to clarify. I don't believe I'm an editor any longer. I haven't tried to log in for some time and when I go to the page I used to edit it has the link at the bottom asking for a volunteer to edit. I'd like to come back but I want to edit two categories. Both of them have a similar number of existing links.
Jedweb, editors timeout after 4 months of inactivity. All you have to do is request reinstatement. Here's the link -> http://dmoz.org/reinstate.html Come on back.
