    Not really.

Grand total of 50 a month out of some 38,000 uniques!

    Same as the ones not.

Does that 50 include all the off-shoot sites, like the Alexa directory, the Google Directory, and anything else that uses the ODP?

If it was just DMOZ, then I'd say all the hype was over nothing, but from where I stand, it's deeper then that, as for how deep, I've no real way of knowing, my site isn't listed yet ;)

50 are from DMOZ alone, all other barely give 1 or 2 a month and this is with boost of linking DMOZ category from Wikipedia!

I have grand total of 11 deeplinks to my little 2000 pages multilanguage website (TM) in DMOZ so yes it is hype over nothing (unless possible if you have viagra website, then many editors are potential customers). :D

Whether its good or not is irrelevant really. Its free to submit so just submit and forget about it.

If I was buying a very low value site then a DMOZ link would maybe increase its value but not by much.

Yes. If your site is not good enough the first time its not going to get in if you keep trying.

Yes, DMOZ listings are very helpful. The traffic they bring depends on what section you are listed in. :) A DMOZ-listed site is not necessarily worth any more or less than a non-DMOZ-listed site.

    Hope that info helps! :)
