Listen folks, getting accepted to DMOZ is a gamble at best. In order to get accepted first and foremost you have to have a quality site. Take a look at the sites in the Category you will be submitting to, how does your site measure up when compared to those? If it is as good or better, your chances are better, if not, forget about it. It also depends on how active the 'Editor' is on that particular Category and whether or not he plays 'favorites' or has a site in the Category you are trying to submit to.

Don't worry about getting approved at DMOZ, there are much better things you can spend your time on. I know for the price, inclusion in the Google Directory is quite beneficial, even though it is a 'paid link.'

    PS
To those people who feel the need to add complete gibberish to this forum and the threads within it, cut it out. I'm reporting your posts and I recommend everyone else to do the same. Don't post in a thread unless you have something useful to add. kthxbye

I don't worry about not being accepted to DMOZ. There are many much more effective ways how to get backlinks (quality content or if you want to get really a lot of backlinks, try to buy links on free Wordpress themes.)
