It is like that in DMOZ. I submitted around 2 yrs ago and a couple of times after that (in around 6 months intervals) still I did not get on DMOZ.

Most DMOZ editors have never heard of PR
How is anyone, including a DMOZ editor supposed to have any idea about this?
Its how unique your site is, not how important it is.
    You making that up.

You could get listed quickly, just as you could sit in a malt shop on Hollywood Blvd and get spotted by a movie director who likes your face and signs you to star in his next picture. All a matter of being in the right place at the right time, but you must enter to win.

Speaking of being in the right place... there's a forum one click down from here and it is there to handle Dmoz queries. Hope you were more observant when choosing which category to submit your site. :)

I disagree. Really the only way in can be paying and depending on what it's worth to you can be the way to go.

Yahoo directory at 300/yr and DMOZ i permanent plus you get in countless clones.

It's the old Soviet model of directories.

Thats just utter nonsense! Do you read threads before you post in them. Are you also posting under the name Rituja?

To repeat what was posted earlier:
Most editors will not even know what PR is.
How is anyone supposed to know how many clicks your site gets.
The 2 months thing, you are making that up. Care to explain why?

Well Interesting posts from some members

Well I totally agree with one of the other members, submit the site and just forget about it. You'll either be added in or not.

It's worth having a good read on the DMOZ directory guidelines as I know a few people that have made mistakes and didn't get added because of it.

Their is a paragraph on finding your location before you find your related catergory for your business.

    hope this helps

Nothing is critical, but it's still seen as helpful.

If a listing in DMOZ was essential then that would mean all other sites not listed, which is a huge amount would be unfairly disadvantaged, which is not the case.

This is the third time, under 2 usernames you have posted this nonsense in this thread. Are you going to answer the questions asked of you to justify your stupid claims.
