Defending the listings and promoting of pedophile sites by DMOZ and then lighting a candle, what a hypocrite.

    Thank you brizzie. :)

I was just wondering my thread got deleted at RZ, is it because the flame would burn that house ? :D

Off topic and they don't even allow the Member's Lounge to get off topic. At a guess.

My be too many senior editors are still mad that they were forced to remove the pedophile listings because of the public pressure.

It was my impression that the vast majority of senior editors were very much opposed to the listings - it was an Admin who restored them after siddy (who is a senior editor) initially removed them from public view.

So may be poptalk posting in RZ was removed by minority of senior editors or Admins that would prefer DMOZ to list and advertise pedophile listings. ;)

I still got the list of who opposed and not as I have read that thread in Internal Forum over and over. Yes its true that an Admin restored that listing that sidjf removed.

The removal of the thread was entirely consistent with RZ intolerance of *anything* that is not on topic, i.e. not DMOZ related. I would not read anything more sinister into it.

Squirrel Liberation Front (SLF) has taken server and several AOL technicians as hostages and they will not release them until all squirrels have been liberated from servers all over the World! All attempts of AOL Anti-squirrel SWAT teams to regain control have been repulsed with heavy causalities inflicted by attacks of squirrels suicide squads.

Viva La Liberta! Viva SLF! Death to imperialist oppressors of squirrels! :p

Probably just in need of a new server and they say the 'are having difficulty with their server'.

Well, I'm just disappointed they didn't announce these problems on their blog. This does add to my feeling that DMOZ may not be an influential player for much longer. On the other hand, the last time a planned server-upgrade went through it also took days if not weeks, if my memory serves.

Actually, the public side of DMOZ still works fine. It's fully searchable and everything: www. dmoz. org/

Just for the sake of it, there is no such thing as "their blog", assuming that you are talking about RZ. As far as your feelings are concerned, it seems that DMOZ at least until now is "an influential player". Care to elaborate, based on what, feelings?:D
