I sent a copy of a DMOZ Adult Page to Kevin Conroy / Lance Miyamoto. Note that AOL/Time Warner don't even recognize DMOZ as its project.
Now I know why they are taking so long to get to my website, they are spending enormous amounts of time "reviewing" adult websites.
I think it is a brilliant marketing from AOL. First they list all these illegal porn sites in DMOZ, so these sites will have a better search ranking and then sell parental filter to the parents so they can stop their children from watching porn.
They don't? Then who has been fixing it? As an ex-editor you know editors don't have the access needed to fix the DMOZ technical problems. They are? All of us? I don't know where you get your information, but I think you may be mistaken. If you're talking about the site in your signature then I would guess it's because you have more adsense than content. You might want to work on that.
It doesn't matter if they do or they don't, and you know they are fixing it by what grounds ? Besides one executive lives in Bethesda, Maryland and I have an audience scheduled and I am very happy to let his family view what DMOZ is about.
I was joking dude. However, I will say that although I do have a generous amount of AdSense on my website at least I don't accept porn line DMOZ does. But (and now I'm not joking) if I did than DMOZ would likely accept my website.
It must have weakened enough once Voodoo doll got sheared but you better work fast cleaning up those pedo sites - you know how bad horror films always have numerous sequels.
