How long does it take for google to import new listings from DMOZ and are they still doing do?

Google are still taking the ODP weekly feed, and they are updating their Directory with it.

Checking editing logs I find that sites I added to my DMOZ category on or before 25 September are now listed in the Google Directory. Sites added on October 2nd and later are not.

Based on this single small sampling I'd say between seven and fourteen days is a reasonably reliable answer for listings in DMOZ to appear in Google.

Final Expense Leads is correct, though it has not been unknown for Google to take up to a year (or more) before updating their clone of the ODP...

They do seem to update their search more often then they update their directory though, as even when they went over a year, you could still search and find listed sites that have not yet made it into directory.google *shrug* when that happens it can get kind of confusing...

Either way, it's a bit confusing at times, and patience is likely the key.

You should complain to Google, and encourage others to do the same. As without your input, they may never know of any wrong doing...

But don't stop there, take it to Matt Cutts blog, and other SEO blogs and forums... rally the troups! (lol)

If you can get enough people to stand behind you change WILL be made, as only then can your voice be heard.

The exchanged and sold links at DMOZ? Supposedly that does not happen, so the big G likely does not look for such things.

Well then I guess it must be true, since you read it on the Internet.
